The Art Tuition
Neil Pinkett
We have been very fortunate to harness the skills of leading contemporary landscape oil painter, Neil Pinkett, whose striking artwork is revered throughout the UK and abroad.
The Beautiful Landscapes
Come and discover the ancient Duchy of Gascony, in one of the most rural regions in south west France, just perfect for a painting holiday.
This is the real France that you thought didn’t exist anymore. Beautiful scenery and delicious local produce. The region is famous for its Armagnac, wine and hearty cuisine.
Feel like you’ve stepped back in time to a gentler place. Single track roads that take you through imposing sweeping landscapes, impressive undulating fields of sunflowers and vineyards, lush grazing pastures dotted with wild flowers and hedgerows brimming with hawthorn and wild honeysuckle.
Pretty little villages punctuate the landscape, with their quintessential French charm. Flower boxes and terracotta plant pots overflowing with geraniums. The pale yellow stone buildings full of character and architectural delight.
The clear skies and consistent sunshine have attracted artists for centuries, the unique ‘light’ of the region being one of the main attractions for painters.
The Course
In your week of art tuition, Neil will be on hand to advise, whether you are an adept oil painter or new to oil painting. He is an experienced and enthusiastic teacher who ensures that all students have plenty of opportunity for personal attention.
